So it's a bad idea to keep POAS, right?

Well, I have a bunch more HPTs, and I couldn't help but do another this morning. (I just found out I am pg yesterday.) I used my $1 store test and it didn't give me a line right away so I freaked out and used a FRER. They both gave me lines. But, I think this is probably a bad idea, right? I should just take my temps and not obsess over the relative darkness of HPT lines, right? Does it mean anything?

LOL...actually, you should stop temping as well... LOL! I've found that my temps during pregnancy vary so much...even moreso than the tests do.

Then again, this comes from the person who has POAS 8 times now...just because all of my cheapo $1 tests expire next month. :LOL

preg tests are not quantitative. there is no internal control to regulate concentration of urine, time of day, blah blah blah.

so stop P'ing on S!

LOL! I agree there's no reason to keep on POAS, but that wouldn't stop me anyway. I have at least 8 that I kept from my first PG, and 5 or 6 from this time. I did finally run out though, and I won't buy anymore (whereas last time I probably would have--actually, I think I did).

Also, I think someone told me that at some point, you stop producing the HCG that makes the HPT have two lines even though your PG is fine, so that would probably freak you out too...

Lilli...

I tested + on my second test. Took 2 more tests to confirm pregnancy. A couple days later I used the second digital just to see "Pregnant" appear. Then I took the four other $store tests I had. So...I won't tell you to stop POAS! :LOL

nope, not true. I POASd the whole way through my last pregnancy (last was around 34 weeks) : you still get lines : .

I can't stop myself from POASing. with 11 prior losses, I need the reassurance of the line!

STOP TEMPING!!!!! From a former Fertility Friend guide - please stop temping!!! Your temps can do some wacky ass things during pregnancy....and there is no reason for you to freak yourself out!

a line is a line is a line!

I gave my old tests to my mw for her other clients. I have enough symptoms that I have no issue believing I'm pregnant though.
