It has been an unbelivable two weeks.
Im to tired to write out the full story right now but here are the basics.
At my 30 week OB visit my BP was slightly elevated and my weight was up 14 lbs. since the last appt. OB suggested i come in the next day to have it checked again. I came back and, BP was the same so he checked me into the hospital for 24 hr. observation. I was pissed because I felt fine and this felt like an "intervention". I was released form the hospital on bedrest.
Long story short, with in 24 hrs I was in the ER complaining of severe right-side and shoulder pain (at that point I knew that it was probably Pre-E)
Tests showed that my liver was swelling and my Bp was climbing.
My worst fears were confirmed when Dr. said I needed to deliver. They tried to induce but I was only 30 weeks and baby did NOT want to come out. So I ended up with a C-section.
My beautiful baby boy is doing well and holding his own at 2 lbs. 13 oz.
I have full confidence that he will be fine and am grateful that I live in a time and place where such miracles are possible. This was BY FAR not the birth that I had planned, and am sorry that I missed out on the last two months of my pregnancy but I know we will get through this.
Please educate yourselves on the warning signs of Pre-E!
Knowing what to look for saved me and my sons lives!
