My 2.5 year old daughter is giving birth on the couch (squatting, grunting, and putting her hand over her yoni) and my 6 year old ds is watching "Journey Into Life". He's fascinated with the whole sperm and egg thing...the cells multiplying...blastocyst, embryo, fetus...that the cells that make up the heart beat in time with each other even before the heart is formed....he's going to have quite an education about the whole process, it seems! (He even asked me when I ovulated so he could figure out when I conceived and what stage of development the baby is in right now...and is excited that baby is officially an embryo!) I think my kids are looking forward to the adventure of this pregnancy and birth!
