I am wondering how many of us are pregnant with first babies, second, or more, and whether you will be birthing at home, hospital, or birth center.

This will be birth #3 and it will be our 2nd UC. Baby#1 was a hospital birth because I didn't know any better at that point

but i want a home birth or birthing center birth, but our insurance won't pay for any of it and money is awfully tight around here these days!

2nd baby and hospital. Not terribly excited about our hospital (had my first there) but it's better than some that I've heard about. I started out with BC plans but wasn't feeling enough confidence/rappor with the MWs there.

#2 in the hospital. I'm really nervous though, had a somewhat unpleasant experience with the hospital last time, but there are no midwives in my area. THe doc I'm using seems in line with my thinking although I am finding it hard to trust docs 100%. I really want a doula but can't find one here either. I've been reading "SPiritual Midwifery" and trying to stay positive. Hopefully DH will be able to be the support I need but I know he is nervous too.

#2 and hoping for a homebirth, but currently planning a hospital birth. Not especially enamored with my current care provider and hoping to switch to hb midwives soon. Still need to discuss this with dh, tho! Good luck to everyone!
