Anybody doing Brewer's?

I started doing the general principles (salt to taste, 2 eggs daily, lots of protein, iron-rich foods, adequate calcium/magnesium) again with + test. Wondering if anybody else is too?

Now what's the benefit of brewer's?

prevention of pre-eclampsia!

I had that (a variation) with my twins and do NOT want to go that route again. I did Brewer's (principles at least) with Noah and it worked as well as helping my morning sickness (had also had hyperemesis with the twins, only had severe regular morning sickness with Noah, no need for zofran!).

That's pretty much my diet, though i don't know what Brewers is. Increased protein definitely helps with the nausea. Though last time around I couldn't tolerate eggs after my first trimester, they made me nauseous. So I resorted to peanut butter. Which I now know you shouldn't eat too much of when pregnant, because it can cause sensitivities/allergy in your baby to peanut butter.

I've loosely followed it with all of my pregnancies. Not because I felt the need to "prevent" pre-eclampsia, but because it seems to be a very sensible pregnancy way to eat.

Wow, that's pretty interesting! I read a little about him in Ina May's Guide, but that's the first time I've seen the principles. I'm actually eating a bit like that now, except that while I'm queasy I don't even want to see vegetables

Thanks for posting!

I sort of eat like that. About 60-70%. I can't handle any junk food right now so our house is not cutting it. I need to go to whole foods and stock up.
