I checked my cervix

And I am 2cm dialated!!!



Has anyone from our month given birth yet?

I think Lesley is still the only one.

I can't seem to reach my cervix. I am going to ask my mw to check me on Friday though.

I'm amazed you can reach your cervix....lol
I did have my mw check me on Saturday and i was closed, but "very ripe and mushy"

I couldn't reach 2 weeks ago!

I couldn't reach a couple weeks ago, either, but last night I asked DH if he could reach it, and I'm still closed, but very very soft. But even if I do dilate, I'm not going to worry much about it - my mom & I both walked around for a good month at 1-3cm with most of our pregnancies. Go figure.

I walked around 3cm dialated for 3 weeks with dd, so I know this doesn't mean anything. I guess I was just more excited that I could finally reach it again. After using FAM to TTC for 2.5 years I am not used to not touching my cervix for MONTHS!

I haven't tried to check my cervix. My OB will check at 37 weeks.

2 have given birth on the Feb thread. Lousli and faerybugmady BTW, Shannon is in the hospital and may have her little Molly here pretty soon.

I had my hubby check a few weeks ago and I am 1cm. Now every time we "do things" he wants to check again...it's so cute. My OB confirmed the 1cm, and I am also 50%.

How the heck do you guys know how to do this? And how did I make it through five pregnancies without doing it?

I learned by using FAM to get pregnant, it involves taking temps, checking cervical mucous and checking cervical position & whether or not the cervix is open or closed. Your body tells you when you are fertile and when you are not fertile.

Anyways, a non-pregnant cervix feels very different from my pregnant cervix, right now my pregnant cervix is very soft & mushy, almost didn't recognize it : but I realized it was definately it when I found a little hole!

If I am still pregnant in a week I may check again, I may not. Waiting for the mood to strike me it is a LOT of work getting into position and actually reaching the cervix and I would rather save my energy LOL

I'm totally clueless about how to check that myself!! Oh well, that's OK probably better that I don't know as it might get my hopes up or something Last Wed my OB said I was 2 centimeters so I know I'm making progress which makes me happy enough
