High Need Child-Weaning??

Does anyone have a high need child that self weaned before 3? I am curious to hear other people's experiences.

My very spirited child turns four in April, and still nurses about once every few days, sometimes more, sometimes less. She very much still needs to nurse, but the frequency is getting farther and farther apart. She gets very cranky and fussy (well, that's an understatement) if she's gone too long without nursing. I often think her baby sister will wean herself first.

Nope, and I don't know any either.

Spirited DS is 34 months and nurses at every opportunity, plus often throughout the night (every 2-3 hours).
