baby food from frozen

I am starting solids with my first babe and was wondering what the best/easiest way to prepare frozen fruit is?? I bought a bag of frozen peaches (couldn't find organic fresh) and want to feed them to ds. One suggestion I came across was to just semi-thaw them, puree them without steaming and then you can re-freeze at will. Does that sound right?? Is it ok to re-freeze and can you do without steaming them?

I bought some frozen org. peaches just the other week...i put them frozen in the steamer & steamed until soft enough to puree. Then put the puree in jars & back in the freezer. It doesn't taste as well as when i steam/puree fresh peaches, but ds eats these no problem.

Since you are just starting solids, I would cook them so they will puree really smooth.
