Are there any safety issues for fabric dyed with fiber reactive dyes?

I know I have to be careful using them, but once the fabric is dyed and ready for use, is it possible for the dyes to cause any chemical reactions or leaching?

Thanks

No. Fiber Reactive dyes bond on a molecular level with the natural fiber they are applied to, so they become part of the fabric as opposed to staining it such as Kool aid and RIT dye do. Much of the natural fiber clothing, fabrics, etc. that you purchase retail are dyed with fiber reactive dyes. There are many types of fiber reactive dyes(powdered, liquids etc.) but most are familiar with MX Procion dyes. Fabric dyed with it should not cause any problems. If they do then most likely the dye did not react properly or fully react.

For more info about the chemistry of fiber reactive dyes see this site
