Mama pad suggestions?

Well, Af has not coming knocking on my door yet again but I'm sure she won't be too long in coming...I want to switch to mama cloth b/c I have always hated sposie pads. But I don't know anything about cloth ones. I have been reading and I think I'm getting it now.

What's your favourite? Does someone sell a sort of complete set? How much do you need?

Spam is welcome.

Hi Benji--I'm really new to mama cloth so I don't know how much help I can be. I just bought 3 from http://www.sweetcheeksdiapers.com. I actually found them on e-bay. I like them a lot--soft and comfy, but I have nothing to compare them to.

You can do a search--I've seen several posts about this in one of the natural living forums.

I have one made my a WAHM in Australia that she sent me as a tester when I was buying a pair of EC trainers for my daughter. It's not exactly the same as the ones she is selling now, because she's made improvements, but I really like it and would buy more from her. I made a few myself, and they do the job, but I like this better. Stays in place better and looks cuter too.

I am pretty new to mama cloth (last period was my 1st experience) and I too have some pads from sweetcheeks diapers. For me, they worked great for the lighter days and were not quite enough for the heavy days. I am looking into finding some with wings for heavier/overnight occasions. Sweet cheeks does sell complete sets with overnight, regular and pantyliners if you find they work for you. Wish I was more of a mama cloth expert! Maybe a mama with a little more knowledge on the subject can help you out more.

I'm new to mama cloth as well, maybe three cycles. I started with sweetcheeks, still like them, but wanted something that would stay attached to my undies.

Next I tried Pandora Pads (www.pandorapads.com) and I realy like them alot!
I started with the sampler 4 pack (2 regular, 1 overnight, 1 petite) in organic cotton. After I used them for a while, and was sure I was happy, I ordered two more sample packs (last week) and I think that will be a good number to get through a cycle. Plus I have the sweetcheeks for back-up if I run out.

I also have been enjoying my mooncup, I'll probably use that more in the summer but for now I'm very happy with my new mama cloth!!

P.S. Thank you to who ever it was that posted about Pandora Pads a while back!!!

I've tried several other than my own and I like most of them. The ones I don't recommend are the MOE ones. I was not impressed w/ the quailty and they weren't comfortable because the soaker slipped around a lot.

I've heard great things about tlc-pads and gladrags... HTH

My perfect pads

They have wings, are aios, and you can choose the if you want fleece, sherpa or a flannel top. I'm thinking about getting some for PP.

I absolutely adore my Fresh Moon pads by Freshies. The tops snap on and off the holder so you don't have to mess with changing the holder. Kind of like the idea behind Lunapads (which I don't like nearly as much), except with the Lunapads there is that little strap that holds the top layer in place and it gets all icky so I usually end up changing the holder anyway.
I don't know if Kendall is still doing custom orders through her store, but I got some velour-topped soakers from her and they are heavenly!

They look great, now I am tempted to try them out, but some of them are not in stock. I just tried 2 types.Snapping Turttles ones(the store closed down though) are like pocket diapers except, that you stuff them from the underside. I love them for the night, but for the day they are too bulky. Never had a leak!
I also tried MOE pad, and I liked it -for me it did not move around. But freshies are much nicer -you can choose even wool body and several kinds of soakers. I will try fleece though, since they are mashine washable.

There are some Freshies auctions up at WAHMChicks and I think there will me more in the next few days. I am broke, so there's no competition here! :LOL

I love my MOE pads and was happy with them so much I haven't bothered trying any other brands.

I'll also put in a vote for my perfect pads. They are soft, well made, and pretty. She often has ebay auctions where you can get the pads cheaper than on the website. I think she will also match prices of your winning ebay auctions so you can get more at the same price.

I tried a couple different brands and my favorite are AngelDry I was actually a tester for these and I love them. This is all I will use now. They are a pocket style with the opening on the bottom. They are fleece topped to keep you dry, a bottom layer of PUL to prevent leaks, and your choice of microfiber or hemp for the soaker. And these are the most reasonably priced ones I found too! HTH
