Bed Sheet Question

Hello everyone A few months ago I bought 400 count egyptian cotton sheets from Sears, I washed them and they have dingelberries on them! Can someone recommend nice quality bedhsheets I can buy and maybe give me suggestions on how to wash them. Did the dingleberries appear b/c I failed to use fabric softner? I have no idea! I paid a pretty penny for these sheets and I dont want to make the same mistake twice. Plus I need to sleep in comfort

No suggestions but I thought I'd tell you that your use of the word "dingleberries" was quite funny. :LOL

The only cotton sheets I buy are Ralph Lauren estate collection. They're somewhere around 300 thread count. I have had a few sets for years now, and they just get softer with washing. Pricey, but quality. Dh and i only have 1 set for our bed. We've slept on them every night for 4 years now, and they're still awesome. HTH

I didnt know what else to call them ha ha. Thats what my grandma called them,but she used that word with the other dingleberry reference too Thanks for the advice on the sheets. I will def check them out.

sometimes with a higher TC, where a regular sheet would just get fuzzy, the "fur" on the thread will pill (is that what you mean by dingleberries? LOL) .. after two or three "fuzz busters" (sweater shavers) the pilling will normally stop.

What temperature was the water you washed them in? A lot of people wash their sheets in hot water, and I think that hastens the "dingleberries" (:LOL at that word!)

Anyway, I would also just use a sweater shaver, personally, and those should be some comfy sheets
