Organic cotton clothing? - Page 2

I love elliebelly!

I also like Green Baby Co. When my son was an infant, we used the wrap around body suits which go up to size 12 months and are much better made than Under the Nile. They're in England and shipping usually takes less than 2 weeks.

We then used the zipper pajamas from Hanna Andersson which are great because it only takes a second to put on. These are really well made and should last through a few kids

Gardenkids.com has some adorable stuff, although I havent' tried it.

I love to support www.greenbabies.com because of their business practices the clothes are adorable, but run a little small

oskri organics and under the nile were making very similar clothes for the past few years (same fabrics even!)

They have ups and downs...some problems with elastics and buttons, (low quality that broke or wore out quickly) but soft and roomy clothes that have fit well over cloth diapers.

Occassionally you can get organics at discount from other retail shops too.

I have found some stuff on ebay and have purchased fabrics to make our own clothes from green textile and cotton plus.

Some links would be found at the international organic cotton directory,
allorganiclinks.com
linksorgani.com

Plus a lot of wahms are carrying simple organic items. I would even check out dharma to see if they have some base organic items you could buy for cheap and dye yourself!

Used regular cotton clothing is pretty much free of "bad" stuff b/c it has been washed and used on someone else.
Do you know which chemicals are gone once the clothing is washed and worn several times? Any articles or info about this? thanks.

BabyPie - I also have the same wrap around bodysuits (she even wore it coming home from hospital) and she outgrew them at 7 weeks + they didn't fit over my CD too well, so I didn't buy them in the next size up. I was after t-shirts though and they only seem to have one t-shirt and pants set. I think I'll give them a call tonight.

LaLa - thanks a heap for all the suggestions! I'm going to check out dharma.

We got some of our t-shirts at Ecobaby , they're called Organically Growing Tees. They're really soft and true to size, DS is 2 and is still wearing the 12-24 month size. Elliebelly also has t-shirts.
