I everybody

I have a new warm moisture humidifier (by Bionaire) and in the instruction leaflet, they reccomend to "disinfect the water tank by filling it with a solution of a half tsp of chlorine bleach in a half gallon of water".

What can I use to replace bleach that would be more "natural"?

Thank you!

I just cleaned my cool-mist humidifier with vinegar. Seemed to work really well and got rid of the mildew smell.

Vinegar/water and 2-3 drops of TTO. Mix, pour in the humidifier, clean however you can and rinse well. The TTO may not be a great idea as it is oil, but if you rinse with hot water several times it should be okay. Good Luck..

I have to third the vinegar suggestions. We do the same, and whatever parts that are completely detachable go in the dishwasher.

Thank you girls!

I'll go for the vinegar. It's a good idea.
