My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
I want to sew some wool covers for my ds, but I'm totally new to wool. Do I need to order wool from an online diaper fabric source, or can I get 100% wool from the local fabric store and lanolize it?
My local Joann fabric store does not carry 100% wool. I have ordered it from the One Stop Diaper Shop (www.diapershop.com) they have some nice wool jersey. I have made many covers from her wool jersey and I like 'em a lot. You have to wash/felt it first so it shrinks a lot. I also go ahead and wash it in Eucalan wool wash before I start to sew.
I have a related question for anyone else who may know: I found some totally AWESOME soft wool covers- they're almost like a wool fleece fabric (similar to hemp fleece - very soft and fluffy) and I would love to find this somewhere - anyone have a source for wool fleece fabric (or whatever this is)?
I got some great 100% wool fabric at our local Hancock's. Bright red and it felted up beautifully. Now I just have to sew up a cover and lanolize it....one more project!!
