DS's Teeth Are Breaking

The other night, I noticed one was a bit smaller than it used to be. Yesterday, I noticed it was really badly chipped and tonight the one on the other side is starting to chip (they're the teeth just off the two front teeth, can't remember what they're called). Tonight the first one looks really bad, like it could just crumble away. In a matter of days, it has gotten that bad.

I plan on calling the dentist first thing tommorow, but what could be causing this? I dont' think he's breaking them on anything as lately, he won't eat and will only nurse and drink plus he doesn't bite on anything and as far as I know, he hasn't had a fall.

What should I expect at the dentist for something like this? He has gone before a number of times (he had fillings in his two front teeth a year ago) and he had a check up a month ago and everything looked really good. It's giving me the heevie jeevies looking at them . Poor baby

Ugh, I was searching and came to a realization. His front 4 teeth looked stained from gentian violet treatments we did for thrush. The front two were probably stained from the fillings but maybe the side two looked stained because there may of been some type of trauma and/or the root/nerves/whatever died and now it's just rotting away. Now I feel really bad . The dentist could of done or suggested something last month had I thought of this before.

(ETA the reason I though of this is all his teeth should of been stained not just the two teeth that didn't have fillings)
