Hi, I want to make a Mei Tai. Could somebody measure their's for me? Thanks!

Oh, btw, I am short and kinda heavy : so the longer straps would be great.

I made my own, the carrier part started at 18"x18", but then I tapered the bottom a bit, so it's about 15-16" at the bottom now, with the full 18" across teh top. Straps are 4 feet long for bottom ones, 5feet for tops.

How wide are the straps? Are they comfy, or do you think they'd be better wider/narrower? Are they padded? If so, how did you do it?

Most tend to like 4-5 inch padded straps. IME the length is more important than width, though if it's too long you can simply roll the bottom up a bit.
