hmmmm...well, cold and snowy here, but I did see the chiro for the first time this am for my carpal tunnelish weirndness, and occasional sore hip...we shall see - it seemed to have helped a bit already!

Trying to make it through this Monday, and this entire week - my last week before Mat Leave!!!

I can't wait for more babies! Shyly, can you update the list so that we can keep track of the "stats" on who's given birth when (kind of like what I did for Lesley) from week to week -- we should have good baby news soon for Suz and Shannon!!!!

Had my 37 week checkup with midwife this morning. Discussed my hopes for natural VBAC given *potentially* contraindacting big baby and highish amniotic fluid index (AFI). I also took a fasting blood sugar test and a 2-hour postprandial blood sugar test (you know, in case I've developed some sinister form of gestational diabetes that wasn't detected in my 28 week GTT and doesn't cause you to spill sugar in your urine each week ). I am going in the end of this week for another growth check to see if the results from last week (showing baby 8 1/2 lbs. give or take) are even remotely consistent and to remeasure AFI.

If it doesn't look good, then they may want to do a scheduled c-section and I may have zero choice in that matter if they won't "let" me try naturally.

Me, I had a crappy night. Ds went back to waking me up over and over, and the smoke alarm kept chirping from the wind coming down the flue and blowing smoke particles in the hallway. I think that's what did it, anyway. But when I don't get enough sleep I have to barf when I get up.

And then I threw up breakfast, with almost no warning. I hope it's not one of those signs-of-impending-labor, though. Not that I'm not eager to meet the baby, but I really hope to go another week and half, at least, so my friend can get here from California.

I slept absolutely wonderful last night. We went to bed around 10pm and I never woke up to pee at all and blissfully woke at 7am. Of course I had to pee so so very badly when I woke, but I'm surprised my full bladder never woke me up. I did have some very vivid bathroom dreams though :LOL

Did anyone's feet grow this pregnancy? I went to buy some comfy shoes yesterday and the 11's didn't fit anymore I can't believe it! 12's! Do you know how hard it is to find size 12's for women in a normal store? I'm going to have to go to drag queen stores soon I swear I also grew another half inch. My DH likes to joke that if I had 5 more kids I would taller than him (6'2") :LOL

This might be TMI but I need some advice : ...a little over a week ago I got some bumps that just appeared to be infected pubic hair folicles...and I put some Neosporin on them and they went away (well at least I think they did...I mean I can't see past my belly so it's kinda hard to tell )...I mentioned them to the medical assistant at my last doctors appoitment on the 19th and when the WHNP examined me she didn't say anything so I was pretty sure they were gone...then on the 20th Brian and I had some "marital relations" and on the 22nd the bumps came back ...worse than before.

I have an ultrasound appointment set for the 26th and I'm going to tell the doctor about the bumps then...but in the mean time I am freaking out : ...should I call the doctor today?...should I worry?...I don't want to go into labor with these bumps still there...I'm mean I'm only 36wks but anything could happen!!!

On a lighter note...

hevea - one more week. Start the count down. I remember when I quit work I was counting down the days as soon as I let my boss know I was quitting.

I had a horrible night last night. My hips were hurting so bad I actually started crying in my sleep and DH woke me up. I just couldn't get comfortable and they still hurt today. I've been snuggling up to the heating pad and trying to take it easy...but it's hard. I guess I just really overdid it yesterday. Oy ve, no rest for the weary. Well I'd better run and get my skank butt in the shower.

Glad I got in on this thread while it is still short..

Thought I had bloody show on Sat. It was mucous and pink. But, still no labor, so it must have been due to my ongoing kidney issue. That's what I suspect anyway.

Today makes it 2 weeks since I lost my plug... does anyone know how long a woman "CAN GO" without it before labor starts? I thought 2 weeks out was the top, but now I am wondering.

Trying to get DH to calm down. My stepds got suspended from school, and SpED kids can't be suspended more than 10 days per school year... guess how many days he got? Plus, finals are coming up. We have a meeting tomorrow with the psych counselor, hopefully I will be of some help then, and NOT at the hosp... Poor DH, he gets so lost in these things... He speaks English (second language), but kind of gets tongue tyed about his rights, etc. so I usually have to go to help him out. UGGH.

Cool thing, though. Emilio finally *I think* understands that there is a baby in my belly. I kept pointing at babies and baby pics and pointing at my belly and saying "baby" and he would give me the most confused look, (like mommy, we can get you help for this...) but now, if I say baby, he points at my belly OR Angelo, so I think that is progress!

In one of my lamaze classes I think I remember the mid-wife saying that you can loose your mucous plug as early as 3-5 weeks before going into labor...which I really hope is true being that I lost my mucous plug on Jan 15th.

Gretchen, usually labor starts by 2 weeks after you lose your mucus plug...BUT of course there are always exceptions! You might be an exception. The plug can also start to rebuild itself. How cute that Emilio is starting to understand more about the baby!

shyly- So sorry you are so uncomfortable!!

Elaina- Definitely get your doc to check you out. Let us know what they say.

Traci- I know that feeling of being ready to explode when you wake up! I am a heavy sleeper and hardly ever wake up to pee...but by the morning I can barely move!!!

lasofia- Sorry you got sick! Although I don't throw up, I still have nausea that takes me by surprise at times.

Joy- I hope your chiro can help.

With DS #1 I lost my plug and a little over 4 weeks later he came, with this one I think I am about 3 weeks since I lost it I can't keep track of everything. Still no baby for me and I don't think he wants to come I go to the doc tomorrow and he wanted me to have him by tomorrow so I am dreading what he is going to tell me. I feel sick so gotta go.

WOW, what an exciting evening. My water started breaking at about 11pm and continued to do so until we got to the hospital at 1am ( I had to finish packing first!). I had real labor pains/contractions - something I never had with ds because it was a scheduled section. DH helped me through them until we had the surgery.

She is beautiful and healthy! She nursed great the first time but has gotten sleepy and lazy as the day has worn on. No GD problems at all so no heal pricks!

I am fine. The c-section was 500% more painful this time around but when it was over it was over. I just feel like I have been up for hours (and I have) so I am going to sleep soon!

Ds loves her already!

Can't wait to hear from Shannon! Been thinking of her and Molly all day!
