Rayon vs. polyester thread

Will 100% rayon thread work for making AIO's? THe only thread I can find locally is either cotton, cotton coated polyester, or rayon. I know the first two won't work b/c the cotton will cause wicking, but I don't know anything about rayon. Advice please?

Rayon will wick because it is a natural fiber. Did you check your local Walmart? They carry 100% poly thread in white, off white and black. I use it all the time for my dipes.

the walmart poly thread is their cheap 50 cent stuff. its the only poly thread i could find, too.

There is a brand called Gutterman or something like that, Joann's has it, I think it's probably pretty good. The thread-end holder is awesome.

I have found that rayon is not strong enough, I have made several diapers with it because I liked the variated colors but those diapers now have broken threads all over them.
