I was dying & aknocked green dye on the garage floor. : Prob 3-4 oz. I don't want to use water & make a bigger mess, but don't want to dye my broom either!

Eeek!

I wonder if TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) would clean it?

Somebody must make something like Reduran for this kind of situation?

I was thinking maybe dry swiffer pads??? Then it will not smear. I will have to see if I have any.

Is it dry powder or liquid?
If it is powder could you use a dust pan and broom/brush or maybe grab one at the dollar store. You should be able to rinse out the bristles pretty well. Don't forget to wear your dust mask . For any residual staining, I have(well, my landlord ) used CLR to get residual stains out of the sink basin.

If it is already mixed dye, sop it up with some old rags. Then go for the CLR.

I have also gotten fairly good results with repeated cleaning with a mixture of liquid soap, BS, and vinegar(mixed together).

Sorry about the mess

It is dry. Not worried about staining. I just don't want it to get wet & make a bigger mess. I like the idea of the little brush & dustpan!!! TY!

: didn't even think it could be the powder!

I've only ever managed to spill it once I make the solution (of course).

Brush/dustpan is a good idea!

vacuum might actually be better if it's the dust .. those dustpan brushes make it fly all over the place.

*she whose dogs have blue paws because she tried wiping up dye with a wet washrag*
