This looks really interesting and I'm thinking about going to see this... anyone seen it? How graphic is it?

It is from the writer and director Mike Leigh who did Secrets and Lies and Topsy Turvy. It is a 1950 period piece about Vera Drake "a hard working matriarch who also performs illegal abortions."

I haven't seen it, but I'm waiting for it to come out on video. All the reviews I've read are really good. I LOVE Mike Leigh. I saw Career Girls 3 times in the theater.

It was good. I love the characters he develops. And the gritty visuals...

I haven't seen Career Girl. I'll add that to my list.
