Longshot, but anyone know of a self-striping super bulky weight yarn?

I want to make a pair of really thick, loose, striped slipper-socks and would prefer not to tuck in zillions of ends. Does anyone know of such a yarn?

Thanks.

How about the Noro-Big Kureyon? I think it is supposed to be something like 4 stitches to the inch on size 15 needles.

Are you talking about the Knitty FuzzyFeet? http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter02/PATTfuzzyfeet.html

I am thinking about knitting me a pair.

Fuzzy Feet are great! I made some for Christmas gifts this past year.

For myself, though, I'd like some non-felted, taller, more sock-like slippers. Anyone seen the movie Frankie and Johnny? She has these great black and white striped tall, thick, slouchy socks. Yes, I'm a dork. :LOL

I love the look of Big Kureyon for other things, chloesmom! I've found it to be a little scratchy, though. Maybe it softens up with wear?

Big Kureyon does soften up a bit with washing. I've made a scarf with it and really like it

Noro Iro is fairly bulky and stripes also...I'm sure there are a few other Noro yarns that do. Some of them, like Iro, have silk or other fibers thrown in to make them a bit softer.

Lana Grossa Inserto (98% wool, 2% polyamide) and Filatura Di Crosa 127 Print (100% wool) both stripe similarly, in that they have a main background color and stripes of contrasting or matching colors interspersed throughout. Inserto knits at about 3 st/in and 127 Print at 4 st/in...not sure how bulky you're looking for

ETA: Oh! And it's pricey, but Lorna's Laces makes worsted and bulky weight self-patterning yarn (I think it's superwash wool). Soooo soft!

Joann's has some new cool funky yarn that is superbulky someone linked...hmmm, where was it?
