Not ready for this at all!

So, tonight my 15 month old daughter laid down with me like usual to get nursed to sleep. She nursed for about 4-5 minutes then pulled off, played with her hands for a few and then went to sleep.....without nursing! I don't know if this is just tonight or if she is finished with nursing at night. I for one am not ready to end night nursing. As it is she starts f/t daycare this coming Monday and I am worried that she will stop nursing during the day. (she won't take a bottle or a cup w/breastmilk)

Anyone else gone through this? Am I jumping to conclusions?

June has done that once or twice, but with no consistancy. I, unlike you, keep hoping that she will sleep on her own because she is so terrible to put to sleep. But I wouldn't assume that because she did it once she will continue. BUt then again, she might.

My DD has done this too. She'll nurse for a small amount of time, then pop off and roll over and talk to her self for a few minutes and she's out. But, definatly no consistancy here either.

My DS does this toooooo. I love it because the DD's tandem nursed me all night and I thought I would lose my mind!

Oh my DD (17 mos) does this all the time. In fact she almost never falls asleep on the breast. She always pops off, rolls onto her tummy & grabs my hands---then she falls asleep. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just be sure to offer her the breast when you can.
