Chocolate!!!

My dd is a budding chocoholic (I know, not soo healthy, but don't worry, it's not even weekly). We homeschool, and I thought it would be fun to make homemade chocolate--Anyone out there got a recipe?

I don't know if you'll have much luck making actual chocolate - to get from a cocoa bean to a chocolate bar requires a long, involved process. Your best bet might be to make fudge (a good chemistry lesson, actually) or something like that. And you could certainly get a good book on how chocolate is made - it's really pretty fascinating stuff. Plus it has a long and interesting culinary/cultural history that goes along with it.

Makes me crave some just thinking about it!
