What IS this? - Page 2

Ya I'm with wemoon too. The first gadget I found really disturbing when I first saw it on Oprah, but actually I do think it encourages bottlefeeding parents to hold baby close like you do when nursing, and because it is more convenient, it might encourage folks to hold babe rather than propping with a bottle.

The pacifeeder is downright horrible!!!

I don't know why this is still in babywearing, except that there is no 'twisted gadgets' forum.

Well, I posted this here because I honestly couldn't figure out what is was for.... I still think bottle feeding mamas could get more use out of a sling then this thing. : )

so I wonder how many mamas got this as a baby shower gift and have used it to prop up the bottle??

Now the over the shoulder feeder thing doesn't seem nearly as terrible after seeing the paci feeder. [snip]
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS!

I bottlefed my daughter EBM from an early start because I didn't have enough proper lactation help in my area. So when I first saw this bottlefeeding item, I thought "How great that would've been with her! Better eye to eye contact and bonding than worrying about how to properly hold her or the bottle.." Then I read all the comments and felt . I know many of you may not have meant it would be awful for all moms, but it still got judgemental here. Besides, how is that mom doing some work any different than moms who nak?

Just trying to make a point.

And I too find the paci-thing to be awful. That's taking it a bit far. But at first glance it did remind me of those hats people wear to sporting events... :LOL
