AP family on tv last night

Did anyone see that new show on TLC last night with Doug Wilson. It was about 2 families moving one buying and moving to a new house, someone buying their house and moving, and the changes they made. Anyway one of the families was so AP. They carried their newborn in a sling, had 3 sided crib in their bedroom for their 2 year old, a big basket of cloth diapers beside the bed. The great thing was these people didn't fit the 'normal sterotypical AP family" I think it was great for mainstream people to see, someone that is just like them is following their childrens cues, and the new house they moved into, they tore out a wall so she could see from the kitchen to the family room, if her son was in their playing she could be talking to him, and seeing him from where she was. It was all just very exciting to see.

I saw the last 20 minutes of it! I missed the cloth diapers though! I love how they should how easy it was to transfer the baby from mom to dad while still in the sling!

Now, if only I had $50,000 to spend on a new kitchen! On second thought, think of the diapers I could get for $50,000!!!

I know I was drooling over that kitchen. It was great to see them using the sling so naturally. completely off topic I knew the previous owner would not like the house.
It just a flash of the basket beside the bed at the beginning when they showed the bedroom.

I saw the mom using the sling and was wondering if they used cloth, apparently I missed the shot where they showed the bedroom.

I did see it!! That was totally cool...and what kind of sling was she using?!

I missed the basket of cloth diapers, though. Bummer.

the kitchen..someday, someday maybe I'll have one like that!

Yea! I love it when AP leaks into the mainstream media. More people need to think of it as the "normal" thing to do. I wish I'd seen this.

I saw the family too! Too cool!

Earlier in the day I was watching Clean House on the Style Network. The family they helped clean, organize and redeccorate for had two Moms. Double cool!

Yes that's just what I meant. I was afraid it would come off degoraity the way i said it. not how it was intended. It was nice to see someone that could have easily been to mainstream parenting not be.

they changed the baby from momma to daddy while the baby stayed in the sling.. okay someone teach me how to do that!

I saw it and thought wow I have that sling then I saw the 3 sided bed in their room...BTW the sling was a Native Carrier, I have one and I really like it. It doesn't have rings but once you get the hang of it its a great sling.

I saw it too! Yep, I thought the sling looked like a New Native. I swear I thought she was nursing the baby on a porch swing at the beginning.
