Nice to see this forum and a proud mama of a 3 year old nursling and getting real close to weaning peacefully!

Yay! DS is only 11mo, but that's "extended" here in Iowa . Happy to see the forum back! I don't plan to wean, but our BF relationship has been affected by my being a WHOM, so some of the threads in CLW seem to suggest I can't CLW if I WHOM. Anyway, happy to have a place to talk about nursing babies past the first year!

Nursing my 2.5 year old.

He's a very rough nurser, so I'm having a hard time sticking with it. I've set nursing boundaries, so I stay out of the CLW forum. Though, I personally don't agree with such a strict definition of CLW.

I don't enjoy nursing anymore. Haven't for a while. But, I'm still here.

DS just got over the flu in 2 days that it took me a week to get over. Well, technically, we're not totally over it. Still coughing a bit. But, much, much better.

Anyway...

I think there are several posters in CLW who have set restrictions (I have always gotten support on the CLW thread and was very up-front about the fact I partially night weaned DD).

Yeah, but there are some people who take the position that setting any limits makes it parent-led weaning. I'd just rather not deal with that attitude at all.
I stay out of a lot of the forums because of the "crunchier than thou" attitudes of some posters. It just irritates me.

Plus, I have no way of knowing if I'm going to let my son wean himself. I may get to the point of really not being able to stand nursing anymore, and wean him. I can't say for sure. I probably do have a limit. Some days I feel close to it...

Maybe I'll stop by there if my son weans himself, just to say hi. Of course, I'd miss out on the support, but...

Just wanted to say hi and i'm so excited about the new forum! DD is only 7 mos. but i love lurking and finding out what we have to look forward to! :LOL Besides in my family 7 mos. is a big no-no, so i'm considered extended around family!
