*The Station Agent* (movie)

I watched The Station Agent yesterday and wanted to see if anyone here has watched it too, and to recommend it! Other that the "sh" and "f" word scattered throughout there is almost nothing offensive for kids or older folks. It was a great movie!

It's about a train fanatic, who happens to be a midget, who inherits an abandoned train station, and befriends two people who live nearby. I don't want to give much away but it's a wonderful movie, and very romantic in its own way.

I thought it was a *great* movie. DH and I totally enjoyed it.

(Wanted to point out that the main character should be referred to as a little person. The term "midget" is considered offensive by most people of short stature.....)

Very worth at least one viewing!

there was a dialogue about that in the movie... I think he used the word "dwarf" and didn't want to be called a "midget," but it might have been the other way around. I loved this movie! just finished watching it again,

my dh told me that the lead actor once played richard III on broadway. now THAT must ahve been great!

just wanted to add, too, that I looked at the case and it's rated "R" so maybe it's not ok for kids. there is a fight scene but no sex.

I really want to see it, I saw Peter Dinklage on Dinner for Five (on Bravo) and he was really interesting and they talked about this movie.... maybe I can convince dh to watch it tonight, if I can convince the child to go to bed at a decent hour!

I loved this movie! I think it was very well done and the characters were wonderful. I would definitely recommend it!
