The Last waltz

Am exhausted today so DS and I have been huddled in a blanket watching Scorsese's The Last Waltz, the concert film of the Band's last concert.

It's so awesome. My son knows most of the songs so we just bounced along, singing. It's actually wonderfully filmed and doesn't bore you with shots of the crowd - the focus is on the band and their energy and interactions with all the guests.

Watching it you really get a sense of how big that last concert was. It's full of respect as each guest plays a part in ending the Band's 16 year relationship.

Cool.

I haven't seen it in about thirteen years-wow. But I agree-it's fantastic. Yet another thing that makes me feel I was born too late.
