My Babies aren't babies anymore:(

My 4.5yr weaned last April and my 3 yr old nurses 3 times in 24 hrs. My babies are growing up...I have been excited about their life changes until now. I was looking at the LLL catalogue and I got really depressed and started crying All I could think of was no more sweet infants needing to nurse (we are not having more). Has anyone else felt this sudden sense of loss? I am excited for my 3 yr old to wean but at the same time he is still little and when he is done THAT'S IT! Any ideas or words of inspiration? Thank-you, Anna

I had 2 wean at once!

It is really hard to get used to...my two oldest children (who were tandem nursing at the time) both weaned at the same time because I was pregnant for my third baby.

Though if the child weans himself you know that it was time for him/her to stop and move on. It is a huge milestone in a child's life to make his/her own decisions!! My third child is 15 months and I think to myself how lucky I am to be nursing him!!! Cherish the nursing moments that you have now!!

looking at your sig it would seem like your boys got the sweet, loving, determined traits from you!

you are a great mama! have you written a journal of your nursing experiences to share with your boys at a later time? you'll have some great memories to share with them.

A nursing journal is a wonderful idea! Especially since I say I will remember details but how quickly I actually forget things! Thank you
