Has anyone else in the universe ever read these books? They are written by Esther Freisner, who also wrote a bunch of star trek books, and are awesome. They are of the feminist distopia genre. I read them over and over again.

It's a post-apocolyptic society that has re-written the bible (a lot like Handmaid's Tale). It's really well written!

Annette-
I *edited* The Psalms of Herod! I worked at White Wolf for a couple years, and worked on that book. It is really good. And Esther is very sweet. I can't believe anyone else has ever read them...

NO FREAKIN WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really do love those book- they should be on my list of books I read and re-read.

I wonder why they aren't well-known or read? Is it because she also wrote "Chicks in Chain Mail?"

:LOL You cracked me up with that. I think that it's mostly because zillions of books are published every year, and being good isn't enough to succeed. You gotta get lucky too. And White Wolf is such a small publisher that there's not a huge marketing budget. Too bad, huh?
