My kids rock!!

This weekend we cleaned out their room. I have been cleaning out the whole house, and decluttering.
So, I told them we needed to choose at least 6 books to get rid of. They chose 11!! Then I said we needed to choose 12 stuffed animals. They chose 12. Then I told them we needed to find 6 things fromt heir dress up box. They chose 6, and so on, all around their room. We ended up with 3 tall kitchen bags to take to goodwill.
Then, I was looking for a spot to put ds'(age 8) guitar. It is broken, split up a bitin the bakc and will not remain tuned. He said "We dont keep broken stuff mom, we should freecycle it!!"" So, we did and some happy guy came a few hours later and took it home

Awesome, mama, what a way to instill giving and decluttering them. And it sounds like fun

Right on!
We cleaned Jack's room last week, too
We didn't get rid of much- well quite a few crappy little plastic toys that creep into our lives somehow and afew broken things as well.
Now it's all organized, and so much easier fo rhim to keep clean.
