My sister is going through Paxil withdrawl. A while ago, I thought there was a thread where someone had had some success in "easing" the withdrawl symptoms with a natural remedy. I did a search, but couldn't find anything. Did I dream about that thread? Anybody know? When I read it, I was pretty well done with my own withdrawl, and I remember thinking...oh, I wish I'd known about this sooner. Thanks!

I'm not sure what thread you're talking about, hopefully someone else will come along with a link to it. I do know that www.quitpaxil.info has some information about stopping Paxil. I was on Zoloft and had trouble coming off of it, I hope your sister finds the info she needs.

Paxil/Zoloft
Hi!I am a pregnant woman (obviously!) was on Paxil, OB had me change to Zoloft. I had MAJOR withdraw simptoms the first time I accidently took myself off (dizziness, odd-feeling head, felt like ear infections, etc). This time when they switched me, I asked to be weaned off - I was on 37.5mg - went to 25mg, then 12.5 mg, now doing 12.5mg every other day, taking Zoloft ever day throughout - and STILL I get 'bad head' days, some mild dizziness, etc. Just be careful! And tell her to talk with the doc about the withdraw - it's not too late to go back and step down.
My doc was worried when I said I had withdraw simptoms previously, becuase there was reaserch done on women taking Paxil, and when they stopped taking it. There wasn't much to talk about from the 1st trimester, but women who stepped down in their second trimester had some cases of fetal distress with premature birth, and third trimester moms had some early births as well, due to baby withdrawing as well from the drug. Another reason why I've stepped off the Paxil so slowly.
Good luck!

I went off paxil a bout a year ago and prior to that had been involved in a thread concerning it. It was here i am pretty sure. Paxil- can be hell to get off. I had to use another at the same time while coming off- effexor.
Paxil can be dangerous stuff it seems.
