Venting about pre-registering at my hospital

<--- me right now.

A short summary: I've called my hospital 5 times to pre-register. The doctor's office only gave me one number to pre-reg. I've called it and each time I've left a message. No one ever calls me back. I just called now again and pushed # to transfer out of voice mail so I could talk to a live operator.... guess what? They put me back in voice mail before saying a word I left them a not so nice message saying I'm 37 weeks and have tried calling them over the course of the last month and would really appreciate a call back.

What can I do? This is so friggin ridiculous! I am going to be not so nice if I have to register at the hospital when I get there. Grrrrr! Now I could care less if they just needed to get my personal info, but I'm trying to pre-reg so I can establish my birth plan too. There are certain things I don't want them doing to our baby and this just irks me! I had no problems registering with my son 18 months ago so what in the world is going on?

Thanks for listening to my vent. I'm just about to burst here I'm so upset

Update:

Alrighty then. I called the actual birth center and was told I have to go to the hospital and pre-register in person before I go into labor. Apparantly they discontinued the position where a person took pre-reg calls over the phone.

Lovely.

Now I have to waddle my butt over to the hospital and wait in a waiting room for lord knows how long just to pre-reg. Ridiculous! Ok done venting

Traci, sorry about that. Maybe you can make up some sort of wild excuse when you get there, so you can get in and out quickly ?
