My dd wants a new play dress. I've decided to (gulp!) attempt to make her one. She picked out this great fabric but we don't have a pattern. I *did* find one that looked adorable (and easy!) and that she liked, but it was out of stock 
Does anyone know of any online patterns or instructions on making a dress? This is for a 6 year old. Vaguely fitted (not a tent) but it's meant to be a playdress. I'd rather not have to fuss with buttons or zippers.
Any tips on copying an existing dress? She has a few really cute playdresses, but I'm not much of a seamstress.
I can always try another store friday if I have to, but thought I'd ask
