Labor signs?

I know I know.....I should know this by now this is baby #2! Yikes!!

Hi Feb MAMMAS! I have posted here a few times, I am due 2/15, so I was 38 weeks yesterday!

Last night I was very "crampy" low low low right over my pubic bone, all night long. Each time this happened I would have a hard tummy like a BH. They were painful enough to wake me up but stopped as soon as my alarm went off this morning. I have also lost my appetite COMPLETELY. Very weird as i have been so hungry as of late.

What do you all think? Warning signs or nothing to worry about?

It's hard to say. It could be the start of something or just your body getting ready and keeping you on your toes. It's all a guessing game at this point. Because they went away suggests that you may still have a couple more weeks or so, but there are those that go from nothing to ACTIVE LABOR. It will all be over soon and you will be holding your sweet little one. Try to get some rest and take it easy. I'm just trying to enjoy the last few weeks I have alone with my Chloe and trying not to focus on when real labor will happen. I would really like these final weeks to be special for her. The transition to Big Sister may be hard on her, but we will do our best to include her in everything and show her constantly that she will always be our little baby.

Take care, Mama!

sounds like your body is gearing up, but it could still be a few weeks. Some women's bodies need more prep time than others. I tend to have those type of symptoms for months and then I have a really quick labor.

Yep, like the others said, it sounds like pre-labor stuff. It could go on for weeks...or you could go into labor tomorrow. It's all a mystery at this stage!

Tricia- I hear ya...we're doing the same thing with DS right now. We got two GREAT books at the bookstore the other day and I highly recommend them. They are both by the Sears'- so of course, I love them. One is called, "Baby on the Way" and one is called, "What Baby Needs". They are perfect for toddlers and our DS is mesmorized by them. There is a picture in one of them of a newborn with the belly button stump still attached. DS was really interested in it and kept asking about it. So I pulled out his belly button stump to show him and he wouldn't let it go! :LOL It was so cute! So he had to fall asleep holding it (luckily, DH got it off of him once he fell asleep- I don't want to lose that!).

Thanks. I'll check them out. Also, I thought I was the only one that kept the umbilical stump. lol!

Jennie: I also wanted to add that my appitite has definitly decreased lately. I think it is because the baby is getting bigger and dropping. Doesn't take much to fill me up these days. Tummy is full of baby. Take care!
