Cold Urticaria

Thread Starter
Does anyone else have a child who has this? My dd gets severe hives from exposure to freezing temperatures, which is frustrating living in St. Louis where we freeze for a lot of the winter. She just developed the condition this winter, so I'm not sure if there will be a problem with swimming in the summer. She also has FA's so we have epi's and all that good stuff.

My dd (who also has FA's, and eczema) gets itchy when she has a sudden temperature change. Occasionally, she will get actual hives. There is an official name for this, I read about it in several allergy books. It didn't seem to bother her in the summer. Good luck.
