and sometimes they can be so clever/sweet....

just have to share...

I have 2 ds, 4 and 13 months. Of course, I'm sure all your dc share well but mine are in an evolving process. Up to this point, we have instructed ds1 to "trade" with ds2 to get something away from him. Now, trading isn't always/usually working. Ds2 has figured out - smart baby- that if ds1 wants it, it must be something good. Ds1 has been very good about ds2 "not wanting to trade right now". Today in the bath ds1 was playing with his waterwheel and ds2 took it away ... uh oh.. but then ds1 grabs a toy duck and starts playing with it in front of ds2, singing "mother duck quack quack quack" and snaking it back and forth in front of ds2 bringing it between his eye and the waterwheel, easing it into ds2's hand and gently and very discreetly (I was so impressed with this), retrieving his waterwheel. Gentle problem solving from a 4 yo! Isn't that cool!?
He did it again later to get another toy back so it wasn't fluke.

How kind of your son.

Now this is impressive! Not just what your DS did, but that you have cultivated the environment that lends itself and rewards this kind of generosity.

Well done you! (and full credit to others who have had similar achievments)
