Moved to Books & Media... Trying to think of funny movies....

I like dark funny, so I like Heathers, Last Supper, stuff like that.
Anything by Kevin Smith (Chasing Amy, Clerks, Mallrats)
Mystery Science Theatre 3000! A guy and 2 robots sit in front of a screen and make fun of bad sci-fi movies! It's awesome!

Let me think on this. I know there are more.

Strictly Ballroom - My absolute Favorite movie of all time! A quirky Australian humor and a story that is uplifting, plus a really hunky male lead.
Tremmors - The A+ of all B movies.
Bringing Up Baby - Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant, need I say more?
I Love You To Death - Tracy Ulman, Kevin Kline. Dark comedy, very funny.
Galaxy Quest - If you have ever watched any old Sci-Fi TV you'll continuously have to rewind this one to hear the dialoge you missed while laughing so hard.

If you like old movies, some of my all time favorites are
Bringing Up Baby (screwball comedy)
The Philadelphia Story (romantic screwball comedy)
Arsenic and Old Lace
Some Like it Hot
Young Frankenstein
The Thin Man movies
His Girl Friday
Adam's Rib

Okay...

Parenthood-Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, Dianne Weiss-gentle humor taking a look at different parenting styles.

Along Came Polly-Ben Stiller, Jennifer Anniston-pretty typical Ben Stiller stuff, but too funny.

50 First Dates-Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore-one of my FAVORITE movies...just silliness.

Duplex-Ben Stiller, Drew Barrymore-a little darker comedy, but still just fun.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail-Complete silliness and a must see!

Bedazzled-Elizabeth Hurley, Brendon Frazer-Goofy humor.

Clueless, Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You-Chick flick humor.

Clue-Tim Curry...more silliness.

Sorry I'm not so good at describing the movies!

ETA-Hope you find some that make you laugh and cheer you up!

Not actually movies, the DVD sets of "The Family Guy" makes me laugh uncontrollably every time I watch them.

We just watched Real Genius. Young Val Kilmer plus some great lines.

Adam Sandler movies crack me up, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Mr. Deeds.

Duece Bigalow, too funny.

Classics; Caddyshack, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, National Lampoon's Vacation, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Spaceballs, Airplane.

I can't think of more right now

I'll second "Real Genuis" - I laugh my bottom off every time I see it.
I'd also recommend:
Old School
Dodgeball
Road Trip
Spinal Tap
Office Space

Wow, of all the movies listed, I've seen 16 Candles and Ghostbusters. I'm really up to date!!

I'll add these to the list. I guess my taste would be considered eclectic.

Note - these are in no particular order whatsoever. Happy movie watching!

Hudsucker Proxy - quirky, stars Tim Robbins. Love this one!

Blues Brothers - classic!

If you like John Belushi, see if you can find "The Best of John Belushi" which has a great bits from classic SNL, including music and comedy sketches.

Best in Show - a hilarious mockumentary by Christopher Guest, all the acting was improved after a description of the basic scene per the director. It's quirky, too. Maybe a little dark?

Legally Blonde - feel-good chick-flick comedy even my DH liked

ANYTHING by Mel Brooks - my faves are "The Producers" & "Blazing Saddles" & "Spaceballs"

Singing in the Rain - classic Gene Kelley musical. Donald O'Connor & Debbie Reynolds. Great music, dancing, costumes & very funny!!

All of Me - 80s comedy starring Steve Martin and Lily Tomlin. Very, very funny and I feel good when I watch it too.

More Steve Martin stuff 'cause I like him a lot:
L.A. Story - fabulous, funky and funny. I own this one.
Parenthood - I watch this every year at least
Roxanne - Martin's twist on Cynero de Bourgeac (sp.?)
Bringin' Down the House - with Queen Latifa, VERY funny!

Ground Hog Day - one of my favorites. I am going to buy this on DVD. Weatherman begrudgingly has to report from Puxatawny, PA and keeps waking up to the same day over and over. Bill Murray, Andie McDowell.

Ghostbusters - classic! Bill Murray

Real Men - 80s comedy starring Jim Belushi & John Ritter. Belushi is a spy who needs Ritter's character (a really wimpy family guy) to fill in for a look-alike spy who was killed.

The Favour, the Watch & the Very Big Fish - quirky- a photographer looks for just the right model for Jesus for religious photo series - starring Bob Hoskins & Jeff Goldblum & Natasha Richardson. I love this flick but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it anywhere in years.
