Natural toys at good prices?

post #1 of 9

Anyone got any good links for natural educational & fun toys at good prices? We have loads of "noisy toys" which I don't have a problem with, but I like to keep them put away and only have one or two out at a time and am wanting to get my son some more natural toys to play with too. I figured this would be the place to ask for some good shopping resources!

Thanks in advance!

Here is a great website, with lots of natural toys and cheap playsilks;

I was looking on ebay and they had playsilks for like $5, stacking rings for like $5 (that one is over now), a bunch of neat stuff. Just search waldorf toys or something similar.

Tuesday Morning, TJMaxx, and Marshalls all have decent (but sporadic and changing) selections of wooden toys.

ETA: Sorry. I just realized that you want online sources.

What a cute site!

I also reccommend the Fairy Cove for dyed playsilks. Meg does a beautiful job and has free shipping

just to be more clear. Not really interested in silks, I'm looking for more along the lines of the colorful and fun wooden toys. I know, I'll probably have to spend some $$$ to get the really cool ones! Thanks ladies! (and I will definitely have to check out TJ Maxx & Marshalls!

These are the ones I"ve collected over the years. I've never ordered from them though, so I don't know anything about service.

Wanted to suggest yard sales and thrift stores. I have acquired a huge asortment of wooden toys at absurdly low prices at yard sales and thrift stores. They are usually practically new as well. I think parents think they are too "nice" to play with. There are always used wooden toys on e-bay as well. After my youngest is done I am going to pack up these toys and offer them up as a gift to any of the holistic mamas who want them!

My favorite sites for toys - I've bought toys from each of these companies several times and had good experiences with all of them. They all have a good selection of wooden toys:
