I saw this in the paper this weekend. Of course, having hung out here, the news wasn't a surprise to me (you ladies are the best!), but I'm pleased to see the WHO has re-formulated (forgive the pun) these charts to exclude the formula! Wheeee!

YAY!!!! Does anybody have any idea WHEN these charts will be released? I've been getting **grief** from the ped (and a couple of specialists) for the past year 'cos my DS (exclusively BF for 6months & still nursing) is not on the growth "curve" for weight (or where *they* want him to be on the "weight for height" chart). Never mind that he's advanced in every way...and he refuses to be overfed...

I'm so glad that our ped's office doesn't use height/weight charts, at least not that I've seen. They assume that everyone is breastfeeding, and they are very into looking at the "whole picture," including how active the baby is, how alert, etc.
