Did anyone see the View today?

I know they have discussed breastfeeding before. Today during the host chat while discussing how much pressure mothers have these days to be perfect, Barbara spoke up and was like yes, and you HAVE to breastfeed or you're going to damage your child forever and Felicity Huffman from desperate housewives was cohosting, and she agreed and said yes, and you have to breastfeed for like 2 yrs and then your breast are all saggy and dragging along the floor while you're walking. Star of course, said never would happen here. Then they just went on to other topics, ugggg

Isn't part of the concept for the show supposed to be that they're from "all walks of life" or something like that? So where's the representative for the AP/NFL/knows-her-ass-from-a-hole in the ground mom walk of life?

I just love to check out threads on The View. I know they will never be positive. I will never watch that show. How annoying. Is Elizabeth pregnant? Maybe someone should send her an email telling her not to listen to Bawbwa Wawa and to check out the new recommendations by the AAP.

I saw it too. They never have anything good to say about breastfeeding. I don't know why they talk about it so much. I have lost all interest in that show. I find it kind of awful to turn on the TV and be insulted about something that I spend a good part of every day doing.

I rarely watch that show but decided to watch it today. I saw that and I turned it off and went out instead

Well, Teri Hatcher wouldn't agree. I think she breastfed for 2 years. The View is a dreadful show.

I don't think Meredith was there, right? She'll usually say something a LITTLE more positive. But JOY - she was there, right? (can you tell I really paid attention? :LOL) Joy has said lots of times that BFing is good and natural and that "you don't know what you'll really do when YOU have the baby" or something like that. And Elisabeth is pregnant and planning to nurse, so hopefully she'll get support and not listen to Star's stupid comments and opinions. GRR.

Yep Meredith wasn't there and neither Joy or Elizabeth said anything really. Maybe Elizabeth will love nursing and turn into a lactavist

I would think that Elisabeth would pay much more attention to the comments made by people on the show who are actually mothers. What does Star know about babies anyway?
