Movie ratings and reviews

Does anyone know of a website/organization that will review movies as they come out, so you can read the reviews and decide for yourself if it is a movie you'd take your kids to see?

I don't fully trust the ratings system and would like some real-mom testimonies. I think I've seen something out there like this, but I can't remember it for anything.
