Who's sad about the Hubble?

I am! I'm going to talk to my homeschool group about writing letters to congresspersons. My dd has enjoyed planetarium shows with Hubble pictures.

I know there are stronger telescopes now, but it's still a sad decision. Maybe if enough people express regret and support, they will be more inclined to try a robotic repair job...

I used to work for NASA headquarters and also will be sad when
Hubble is "decomissioned" . THis coming from a girl who said goodbye
when Mir Space Station was decomissioned too.
