Anyone ever have luck with getting an HMO type plan to cover HB? My plan is technically more of a PPO but it doesn't offer "out of network" coverage, and if we switch to the plan that does offer out of network benes, while we would get reimbursed for the HBMW fee, the higher premium, deductible and 70/30 coverage would make our total family healthcare costs be more than just paying out of pocket for the HB
There IS one MW (hospital CNM) listed as in network, otherwise I'd have fought that there was no midwifery provider in network. We're thinking of asking DH's company benefit admin for assistance in getting it covered but I'm wondering if anyone has had luck getting coverage when you plan specifically doesn't offer out of network coverage? If so, what did you do/how did you go about fighting it?
