Is there any way to list which state/area we live in on this board?

It would be so nice to have a listing, somewhere, that we could check and use for personal messaging if we wnated to contact another hs in our area.

For example, we live in a very rural area of eastern Washington state and are just starting "formal" educational style for our ds (age 6). I'd love to have another Washington Mothering/AP hs mom to "talk" with via PM. Especially one that has BTDT already! Nice to know some of the information that pertains to our state hs rules/laws, etc. In turn, I could then help another newbie in our state, and so on.

Anyone have any ideas on how to do such a thing?

You could go to "finding your tribe", then to "washington , oregon, idaho", then post looking for wa hs-ers.
I myself am a wa hs-er. Until a month ago we lived in the Tri-Cities, we just moved to Olympia.
Have you checked the library you go to for other hs-ers? Maybe you could post a bulletin there, if you want to find others within driving distance.
