I Heart the Rainbow Resource Catalog!

That's all...I'm just swooning over it.

I've never even ordered from them but sometimes I read before bed like a novel, every single blessed listing. And then I get out the highlighter to mark all the books and resources I want, even if I know that even if I homeschooled 10 kids and lived to be 105 I'd never have time to use them all.

I love it too. You're not alone. I'm just waiting until the next one comes out. Tingling with anticipation.

It's very nice, and has lots of cool stuff at good prices, but it makes me cringe every time I pick it up.

You're not alone They carry some merchandise that is, well, not to my taste. Some of it I find strange, some of it I find useless and some of it just plain 'ole baffles me. And then there are the products I find just wrong - the creationist and young earth stuff, for example. I'm not telling anyone they can't or shouldn't believe, I just personally think it's wrong - I still find those product listings interesting to read, though, even if I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

The family who runs Rainbow Resource seems nice enough and, should I ever actually buy anything from them it won't bug me in the least to send my money to them. There's a secular company that offers stuff for classical curriculum - of course I can't remember the name at the moment - but they're stricly on line, no catalog. So I love the Rainbow Resource people for having this catalog that's as big as the NYC phone book and having such informative listings.

But I agree with chalupamom; they seem nice enough, and I don't have a problem sending them money. I just kind of cringe when I flip through the catalog.

I know what you mean- I have to skip certain sections that I don't find appealing. They seem to be very nice people and I have ordered from them. The prices are good and they have great service. I don't believe the Creationist stuff, but that's OK because I buy other stuff. They have good reviews and put out a nice BIG FREE catalog.
