how to make a blanket dolly

i was inspired by the book "Natural Childhood" by John Thomson. stuffed animals get linty around here because we have three cats, i wanted to make Willow a cloth doll but i can't sew worth a darn, then i found that book and how to make simple things in minutes. i like that i can unroll the blanket and wash it, then make the doll again in a minute. anyway, i put up a page on my website with pictures: how to make a blanket dolly. she loves it! i'm going to re-make it today with hemp twine instead of the cotton hair elastics, because i can tell she's going to be able to pull them off soon. but if you're out in public, need a quickie distraction for a supervised baby and have a square cloth and some hair elastics, poof! you have a dolly. enjoy

Hey that's COOL! I'll have to try it here in a few.

I just looked at your dd's pics... she's gorgeous! And I have to say, one of the few babies that young that I think really completely fit their name, kwim? Willow is a beautiful name I think, but one that not many could "pull off"... she does it fabulously Beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.
