Willowrose. I didnt get a bfp for Kyle until I was 6 weeks. Technically your only 13 dpo and very well could still possibly test +.

*green*faery*

30 times melW wowsers, I'm jealous

LOL Justice a man in a uniform is pretty darn hot

:LOL Elisabeth. I find my dh irresistable during O time. I swear its why its impossible to not "try" even when I am not trying Then afterwards I am perfectly happy until almost time for

Joeysmom. I dont know, but if it is AF, I am glad your not all crampy. Let us know how it goes.

Well, since I am not obsessing this cycle since I AM ON A BREAK, I am 1 dpo today I really need to stay off the computer today since I realy really need to clean up the house. i want it to be clean when dh gets home tomorrow. It is really tense around here and the clutter doesnt help. On Sept. 11, 2003, my dad had to have his prostate and bladder removed because of cancer. Well, he has been having some of the same symptoms again and when they ran the blood and urine tests, he did have blood in his urine again with no signs of infection. So they referred him back to the urologist to do more in depth tests to see if the cancer returned possibly in his kidneys. So, we are all even more stressed then before Now, if something is wrong, I will feel absolutely terrible moving 500 miles away in 2 months. So , if you have any room in your prayers, please say one fo my dad.

Heather, I am really sorry about your dad. Sending lots of healing vibes.

Ok, I can't do other personals right now as I am cleaning for more company...MORE COMPANY...ick....anywhoo...I have a question.

My left ovary HURTS. Well, both ovaries are tender, but that left ovary HURTS constantly (the pain in the right comes and goes) but that left ovary HURTS TO THE POINT OF TEARS. Has anyone else experienced anything like that? I am pretty sure that I o'd on Saturday, but I gave myself a line, FF doesn't agree with me. Help ladies, I am miserable.
Hey Justice,

I sometimes get some pain around O time, but not to the point of tears. Has this happened before? Not to get graphic, but could it be some other kind of intestinal track problem? If not I might consider making a Dr appt if it doesn't go away. Sorry I can't be more help. I hope it goes away soon.
justice...does this happen all the time or just since you ovulated? I am wondering if you have a luteal cyst...although usually the pain occurs around when af is due, not immediately after O

also, I get really bad O pain, almost makes me cry...off and on over several days...until I O...is it possible since you haven't O'd in a long time that it's just a very powerful O pain? For me it is a sharp pain...when I was younger I thought it was my appendix...mine is always on my lower right side...

see a doc if it doesn't ease up in the next bit...
Just a quicky...I called my OB to ask him about the weird bleeding...which has stopped again. I'll let you all know what he has to say.

Justice - I had a friend who had really bad O pain like that once and she ended up in the hospital b/c she thought it might be appendicitis (but hers was on the right side.) Anyway, it ended up being that her ovary had released the egg, but then didn't close all the way so it was bleeding out into her abdominal cavity. They ended up laproscopically going in and nudging the ovary closed again. You may want to seriously consider having yourself looked at....I know you hate doctors, but better safe than sorry. Good luck and feel better.

Well, gotta go wait for that call...
Later.

Justice - I've had that kind of severe O pain too. For me, it was a cyst. They can be excruciating, and the worst thing is that the pain is right when I should be BDing...kind of hard to get in the mood when you're doubled over in pain!!

Well, AF showed up this morning, two days early. Oh well, at least I can try again that much sooner, right?

cd1 (move me back to waiting to O)

MelW~ Thanks! Unfortunately, my spotting was AF after all. Good luck with the SA results!

snugglebutter~ So sorry about the bfn.

Joey'smom~ Wow, weird! Hope it is implantation!

ROM~ I always get more in-the-mood when my hormones are closer to ovulation. So I say yeah! Tackle away!

savannahsmiles~ :LOL on the boob-poking!

willowrose~ So sorry about the bfn.

Heather~ Sorry to hear about your dad.

Jellyfishy~ Sorry about the hag. Onward to the next cycle, huh?

I'm on to the next cycle myself, since the spotting turned to full-fledged this morning. But this cycle I'm going to try soy instead of clomid, so it should be interesting to see what happens.
Hi everyone. I was lurking on this thread and thought I'd stop in to say hi. I just started TTC this month after 7 years of pills. I have no idea how long my cycle is anymore. I'm at CD29 and 12DPO(I think). I had some spotting 8DPO and thought it might be implantation?? But I did a HPT on tuesday-10DPO and it was a BFN!! This is nerve wracking!!! I feel for all of you!! : for everyone!!
Any suggestions on when I should test again??

Thanks

Chris

Heather~ Hope your dad is okay

Nemmer~ Sorry this wasn't your month. Good luck with the soy- how does it work?

Joey'smom~ : weird bleeding- I have no idea...though I have known people who had what they thought was a weird period when they were actually pregnant (so heavier than just "spotting" for implantation). But still BFN? Hmmm- let us know.

Justice~ I was thinking maybe cyst, too. Hope you're feeling better

Carolyn~ How did your hubby react to the news?? How did you tell him?

Holly'smom~ Sounds like you're having a busy day at work

Hypnochris~ Welcome! You could try testing in a couple of days again- lots of people take a few days (or even weeks) to get a BFP. I noticed your other thread- did you only have sex after the temp rise? Because usually your temp will rise after you ovulate, and its unlikely that you will get pregnant from intercourse after ovulation. Ideal times are the couple days before and the day of O. Good luck!

We went to the doctor for results today and she wasn't there. We saw her replacement instead, but she was pretty useless- basically just read the results off the sheet (as if we couldn't do that ourselves). His count is great and motility is okay, but with only 8% normal forms (it should be 14% or higher). I'm not too worried, because the count is so good that he probably has enough normal forms in total. The doctor just gave the typical advice- boxer shorts, less time biking, blah, blah (as if we didn't think of that stuff over the past 13 months), and also suggested LESS intercourse- only every two to three days to let more normal sperm develop Don't know if we'll follow that one- we might just go for natural ways to increase the count that don't mess with our sex life!! Overall she wasn't very reassuring- we'll probably go back and see our regular doctor after my testing is done. Last time I saw her she was really reassuring. When I was stressed about rarely ovulating, she reminded me that it only takes one sperm and one egg. That's how I'm feeling today- pretty optimistic and not nearly as discouraged as I could be And maybe I'm pregnant already and none of this matters... :
MelW~ Sorry the doc you saw wasn't too helpful. My DH had similar results as yours, high count, but slightly low "normal" percentage rate... so we figured even though the % was slightly low, the numbers themselves should be fine. We got the same exact advice as you. to you and hope you get that BFP soon!

As far as the soy goes, I read this thread on the Soulcysters site that talks about how soy can work as clomid. Since both have anti-estrogen properties, they trick the body into making FSH and LH, thus triggering ovulation. Many women have had success with the soy, but it doesn't delay ovulation like clomid tends to. There are some risks and controversy surrounding the soy usage, but I figure it is worth a shot.

hypnochris~ Welcome! I'd probably test again in a couple days. Hopefully it was just too early, and you'll get a bfp soon!

hi! : I've just been lurking lately. I guess the idea of maybe waiting to conceive is still a little discouraging. I'm still hoping this is the month but I am so used to those darn BFNs that I'm not hopeful. I really don't feel quite as gloomy as that sounds.

Joey'smom-I'm interested to hear what your OB says. I had weird bleeding during my last AF too. I was hoping it meant I was pg so I tested once the bleeding stopped and it was a no.

Jellyfishy- sorry about AF...it is nice of her to come early instead of late though.

Nemmer-thanks for the soy info...sounds interesting. Let us know how it works for you.

hypnochris- :

Willowrose-sorry you got that BFN. My fingers are still crossed for you! I didn't have a problem conceiving dd either. We got pregnant after three cycles and I only really tried the 3rd cycle when I used OPKs. This time I have been trying since AF came back when dd turned 14mo...I guess that was 8 months ago. She was nursing until she self weaned at 19 mo and I think that kept me less fertile because she nursed a lot! I would never suggest weaning but I'm wondering if that is making any difference for you this time?

MelW-I'm hoping too that this is your month. All that sex and ovulating sounds very promising! (And I must confess ...TMI...I am a little jealous, before dd we used to GIO quite a bit but now we are doing good if it's twice a week...pitiful I know)

Hollysmom-sorry about that cold! Sounds like a bad one....I'm just glad germs don't travel the internet. Seriously I hope you feel better real soon!

Justice2-Sorry to hear you are getting more company especially when you're in pain! Hope that goes away or gets figured out real soon!

kyle98sean02-Just said a prayer for you, your dad and your family

Okay, well dd is sleeping and I really should be cleaning or paying bills or a bunch of other things less fun then typing to you guys but off I go...

The more I think about it, the dumber I feel the doc was. She basically just read the results, and had NO background info. She actually asked us if we were ttc yet (as if we might have gotten sa done before starting, or something)?! Because she only had my husband's chart and not mine she had no info about my cycles and the testing that I'm doing, so really lacked perspective on the issue.

I also did a bit of math- with normal count (>20 million) and normal morph (12%) there would theoretically be 2.4 million "good" sperm in a sample. Hubby had better than normal count (42) but poor morph (8% normal), but that still puts him at 3.36 million good ones- better than a normal sample! I figure one of them has got to be able to do the job. Another 'abnormal' factor was increased viscosity- which we're looking into.

Surf mama~ : : for this month. Just for the record, it's not 30 times a month- this is a long cycle, so it's more like two months

Sorry to hijack the thread today with so many details of my husband's swimmers. you guys and thanks for all of your support
post #118 of 149
Mel, I agree that the results for you dh's swimmers is pretty good overall. I'd feel frustrated with that doctor visit too - it's not like it was a big help. I wonder if something like IUI would be helpful for you guys? Good luck!

Willowrose, what a bummer! Sounds like you have a great attitude about it though!

I can't believe I'm only 5dpo - it will be another whole week before I can test! Argh!
savannah smiles- I am only 4 or 5 dpo too....oh it feels like I've already been thru the 2ww though.

Watch out here comes TMI....Okay so I am pretty sure I already ovulated, got the EWCM for a few days with my cervix high soft etc... but today the EWCM is back but this time my cervix is low and firm. Is this normal??? This is my first time charting all this info. (With dd getting over being sick and teething her 2 yr molars I'm not charting my temp) Any advice?

cycle day 11

Hello to everyone. Not much is new here. Just waiting to O. Feeling a little nervous since this is our first cycle of ttc since our last mc. Just scared to death that I am going to mc again. I seriously can't imagine going through that again. I wouldn't even wish that kind of emotional torture on Mr. Hussein. Well, ok....maybe him

I am looking forward to O this month though because it is my first chance to have my progesterone tested. Hopefully that will happen next week around day 17 or 18. I almost hope that I have low progesterone so I can blame my mc's on something!

ROM:You crack me up! I only wish I had the sex drive that you apparently have Most of the time it feels like a chore than anything else.

Heather: I will keep you dad in my thoughts. Hope everything ends up ok!

MelW: Is you "normal" doctor going to meet with you as well to go over the results? It seems more important than ever to make sure all of your questions are answered to your satisfaction. It's always amazing to me that we have one egg we are letting go of and dh is letting go of millions of sperm and yet there is only a 25% chance of getting it right in any one month.
