Just discovered this forum!

I haven't been to the Mothering boards in a while so I had no idea they had created a UC forum! Hooray!! I've been reading many of the posts and of course have a million thoughts I'd love to share - if I had the time! I've been so swamped with family "problems" (challenges) and my nanny business, but hopefully I can drop in and add my two cents periodically.

Someone told me the next issue of Mothering has UC info. I hope so!

Just wanted to say hello to all my fellow UCers and let you know that if nothing else, I'm here in spirit!

Yes! I hope you become more active, at least in this forum! Your advice would be invaluable, I"m sure! Your site has been very inspiring to me, even though I haven't decided if I'm going to UC or not.

woohoo! I would also love to hear your thoughts Laura when you have the time to post. Your site (and book) have been invaluble to me on this journey! I am planning a UBAC in August and find alot of strength in the stories you've shared.

Hi Laura i've just discovered this whole forum (I'm not very computer literate) And it's amazing to see you on here. Your book that I read was inspiring .We had a UC on April 1 last year. I would love to be part of (something) about UCs and to get in contact with others here in Aotearoa :

Hi Laura, I haven't "talked" to you in years. If there's any chance you remember me, Ha, it was I believe on misc.kids.parenting and my email was mtnmama @ geocities. com at the time.

Hi Laura, I'm another one of those "don't know if you remember me's."
We spoke on the phone last April or May after my second miscarriage (I still carry around bits of your advice on an every day basis). I just wanted to let you know that I had my first baby on Feb 17 -- a very successful and wonderful UC. I was worried after my second m/c that I may have lost my nerve for uc, but I felt the call stronger than ever and kept receiving signs and reassurances that I should definitely birth my baby this way. I'm so glad I listened because it was a peak experience for both dh and me-- something we'll never forget. Your advice to me was very helpful and I just thought you'd like to know how things turned out.

I was sorry to read about your recent family "challenges". I hope you're doing well...

Congratulations, Kate!! I'm so glad to hear everything went well! And also happy that you found my words helpful.

Regarding my marital problems, David and I got back together!!! After 4 miserable months of separation, we decided to have David move in with me in my new (beautiful) place. We're feeling very happy and optimistic about our future. We want to start getting serious about our birth work, and are planning on doing a workshop this summer in CO. Yay!
