Anyone's dc take a pacifier...??

My ds is 1 month old and wants to nurse all the time (which is okay..except) that I run a home daycare and I need him to take a pacifier. I wear him in a sling a lot and he still wants to nurse.... I've got plenty of milk..so that's not a problem (still nursing ds who's almost 3 in morning, nap and bedtime) and he too refused the pacifier...
oh well, just wondering if your dc does and if so what kind??
Thanks

Both my ds's take nooky's
ds1 was given one at the hospital by the ICU nurses and I didnt know it for 2 days
When we brought him home I took it away until he finally made it clear that he doesnt like to comfort nurse if there is milk coming out
ds2 is a month and doesnt wanna comfort nurse too if milk is coming out
its not like i can turn it off
Some babies just need to suck
I dont do it to "shove a cork in it"
I've been weaning ds1 off his nooky and only giving it to him at bedtime

its the green ones called soothie
longer "nipple" part than most
and my kids havent gotten nipple confusion
i dont know if yours will though

Yep mine did. The soothie kind, too- use a kind that's shaped most like your nipple to avoid confusion. If you're shaped like nuk, use nuk, but I'm shaped like soothie. Elliot sucked and sucked on his pacifier until he was 3 months old, then abruptly stopped. Now at 10 mo he loves to chew on the pacifier, it makes a great teether. Good luck!
